  • Show restaurants near you
  • Calculate delivery distance, delivery time, and delivery fees
  • Autofill and verify your delivery address
  • Display your order location on a map

We collect location only while you are using the app. We do not collect your location in the background or when the app is closed. You can turn off location access at any time from your device settings, though some features may not work correctly without it.

Photos and Media

If you choose to upload a profile picture, submit an image with a review, or attach documents to a restaurant or delivery partner registration form, we access only the specific files you select. We do not scan or access your photo library beyond the items you choose.

Microphone and Voice Input

If you use the voice search feature, we access your device microphone to convert your speech into text so we can search restaurants and dishes for you. Speech-to-text processing is handled by your device's operating system. We do not record or store audio files.

Push Notification Data

We collect a device notification token so that we can send you order status updates, delivery alerts, and promotional messages. You can disable notifications from your device settings at any time.

Technical and Diagnostic Information

  • IP address
  • Device type, model, and operating system version
  • App version and language settings
  • Browser and app usage data
  • Crash reports, error logs, and performance diagnostics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process, prepare, and deliver your orders

  • Send order updates and, where you have consented, promotional messages

  • Restaurants — your name, contact number, order details, and delivery address, so they can prepare and fulfil your order
  • Delivery partners — your name, contact number, and delivery address, so your order can be delivered
  • Payment providers — to process your payment securely

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the following third-party services, which may process your data under their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase — Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Crashlytics (crash reporting), and Analytics
  • Google Maps Platform — maps, geocoding, and location services
  • Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, and Sign in with Apple — if you choose to sign in using one of these services, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider
  • Payment processors — to complete transactions

We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Upon deletion we remove your profile, saved addresses, preferences, and account credentials.

Certain records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them — for example transaction and tax records, and information needed to resolve disputes or prevent fraud. Such records are retained only for the period required by applicable law.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Fooky Food is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
